I recently bought these white jeans, the first I've owned, mainly due to the issues that white clothing bring. However these were on sale and fit really well, so there wasn't really much reason not to buy them!
HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! I hope everyone enjoyed their day today from receiving red envelopes. I'm not celebrating it much but it's nice to have something to celebrate about at least.

I had the opportunity to dress up in a 90's theme at a weekend party, and thought, what a great opportunity to share this with you guys! Obviously it's not really how we'd dress out now, but it's fun to change it up. As you can tell from my poses, I quite enjoy dressing up differently, haha. If only we could do this more often in our lives! Doing pig-tails was most enjoyable, I haven't had my hair like that since forever!
When I was picking this outfit I mainly had the Spice girls and Britney Spears in mind. It wasn't hard to get an outfit, mainly since the stuff in fashion right now is pretty much 90's inspired anyway. Hey guys! How's the first month of the new year been? To be honest, it's pretty much just another month, other than the fact that it's Summer (I.e. Best season ever).
I wore this outfit to watch The Hobbit - Desolation of smaug which was about 3 hours long, and what a great movie it was. It's also better watching it in 3D at Imax. I'm not sure if Imax is available everywhere, but it's pretty much a gigantic screen that's in your face. So watching it in 3D just makes you feel immersed, it is so exciting. These tights were also on sale when I bought them so I was really glad. They were originally $50 but they were $15 when I bought them! I'm usually quite afraid of the cold, since I don't have much natural insulation. That's why I have the scarf, luckily it turned out really smart so I took some blog photos, haha.
I'm actually trying to bulk up to have a more healthy body. It's starting to work! The air con in the shopping centre didn't affect me as badly as before, which feels really great. I won't be stopping those tricep dips anytime soon. Only people I see very often can tell the difference, since it isn't very obvious, but hopefully people at uni will notice when the semester begins! >=D These sunglasses were $10 for two pairs which was a great deal. I saw similar ones at another store for $40, and I really wanted those, so bumping into these made my wallet smile. Also, I am very lucky to say that my boyfriend had taken these photos for me when we were out at the beach this week. Most importantly was that it was the first time since I've had my blog that he took photos, without me even needing to ask! To me that's very special ^___^
This pose was non intentional, I was actually trying to keep my hair from flying at my face haha. Luckily it turned out well for this photo. I had originally worn shorts underneath, but by then they were off since we've been in the water. We had got back out of the water to have a little adventure around the shore, stumbling upon a vast amount of sandstone and puddles. There were a whole lot of organisms living there, he even saw a tadpole! I wish I saw it too. Happy FRIDAY everyone! (Well it's friday at where I'm at anyway!) Just feel like popping up some inspiration. It's reminders like these that tell us to continue doing what makes us wanting to wake up each day. Always keep that glimmer of motivation going. Hard work always pays off. Regards,
Miss Eliza WonDerland (p.s. Keep your heads up for a POST TOMORROW! Yay ^___^) Today my boyfriend and I headed out on a date I surprised him with, an outdoor cinema with one of his favourite movies! The great thing is that it was for free at Olympic Park, so all we had to do was turn up. The atmosphere had a really nice family feel, since there were an abundance of children running around, blankets and chairs. Being able to lie down under the stars with the summer nights' breeze was definitely a wonderful feeling!
I had recently bought this beanie at Dotti, which was suprisingly actually $1.00, yes, ONE Dollar. I would've been crazy not to buy it! The only odd thing is that it's quite pointy/tight, so it makes my brain look big lols. The best buy of my life? I believe so. I had gone out to do some shopping with a friend today, and the sky was pretty cloudy, so something comfy was definitely what I wanted. However, I didn't want to lose out on looking exciting in some respects, so in the end I put on my boyfriend's Saxony jacket.
He's been working out a bit more so it's too small for him now, which means new jacket for me! Kaka. These tights are also in my favourite colour - purple, so it was nice to add some colour to the outfit. I wasn't planning on buying anything today at all, especially since my wallet was starving from cash lately. But I still bought new items - white jeans and a beanie. You wouldn't guess how much the beanie was, it was a steal! Submit a guess on my instagram photo! I'd like to see who gets it right =P Click here for the Instagram Beanie link! I love how tie-dye gives an edgy feel, at the same time the fabric is free flowing and soft, which gives a feminine feel. I put on purple jewellery for some colour to make it relaxed and fresh. I didn't actually want to put on a belt for the dress. However the dress was a bit long for me, so I used it to shorten the dress by pulling the dress above the belt to give the drape, which slightly covered the belt. It worked well and was a good idea, otherwise I'd have to keep holding onto the dress, which would be a fuss!
Here's my New Years Eve outfit! I pretty much told you what my New Years was like in my last post, but what I didn't say was that it was great being able to watch it with my family friends. Celebrating the New Year with more people is always a great experience, and they're lovely people.
A note about wearing clothes in especially stuffy weather, is to wear more cotton-based clothing rather than polyester. I learnt my lesson when I wore this outfit - head to toe in polyester! It doesn't breathe like natural fabric, so if you're boiling/cold, it will be even more so in these clothing, eep. |
